Hundreds of URA members (and some potential members and many MPSC employees) attended the dozens of Coalition of Rutgers Unions (CRU) sponsored healthcare clinics and learned valuable information that helped them save thousands of dollars in the next year.
Open enrollment has ended and if you chose to remain in a legacy Rutgers healthcare plan (% of premium) rather than a union negotiated healthcare plan (% of salary), you will see a significant increase in your payroll contribution in your January paycheck.
The state has committed to hold a special open enrollment in 2026 once the new premium rates have been calculated so you will have another chance to make changes. When we learn when that date is, we will probably hold additional clinics to share information with our members.
These clinics have been a valuable member benefit and we are proud that we were able to help our members.
