Open Enrollment; Come to CRU Healthcare Clinics

URA members enrolled in the legacy Rutgers State Health Benefits Programs (SHBP) such as NJ Direct 15, NJ Direct 1525, NJ Direct 2030, or NJ Direct 2035 are slated to have significant increases to payroll contributions starting January 1, 2026 due to proposed increases to premium costs. All of the legacy Rutgers SHBP plans where contributions are calculated using the Chapter 78 formula of percentage of premium have been approved for up to a 25.8% increase in premium cost for 2026.

Rutgers employees have the most access to choices of available plans, including the union negotiated plans whose payroll contributions are calculated using a percentage of salary.

We are strongly encouraging that all URA members attend one or more of the CRU healthcare clinics to learn about our options and potentially save money.

Healthcare is one of our most important issues, and without a confirmed second open enrollment to make changes early next year, we want you to have as much information as possible to make an informed choice for you and your family during this month.

Join us at the CRU Healthcare clinics next week so you can learn about the upcoming changes and make decisions that fit you and your families.
