Join in to welcome Mary Ellen Maguire as URA Executive Vice President. Maguire works as an International Student Advisor on Livingston Campus and has been an active member since the local’s founding in 2007. She has been an Executive Board member, served as a member of two bargaining teams and is the current Livingston Campus lead steward.
“I am excited take on this new role to continue advocating and fighting to improve working conditions at Rutgers for all our members,” said Maguire.
As per the constitution, URA’s Executive Board voted by secret ballot to accept the appointment.
URA President Christine O’Connell said she is proud to have a committed member like Maguire assume the Executive Vice President position. “We look forward to working together for many years ahead,” she said. “Welcome and congratulations to Mary Ellen.”
