Our elected officials make decisions that directly impact our lives, our jobs, funding for higher education and more. When we vote, we help decide who they will be.
Please join us to support URA’s Committee on Political Education (COPE) endorsed candidates by participating in NJ AFL-CIO’s Labor Walks.
We are focusing our efforts on two Congressional races:
- CD 7 in Central Jersey October 10 in Union CLC, SMART/SMWIA 22, 700 Swenson Ave., Kenilworth, NJ at 8:30 am
- CD 2 in South Jersey October 24 in Southern CLC., 2240-15 Route 70 W, Cherry Hill, NJ, 8:30 am
Every member who participates will be eligible for a $50 stipend. Wear your URA t-shirt and bring your license for check in. You must have a smart phone to download the minivan app for your walk list. If you need a URA t-shirt, please reach out to union@ura-aft.org so we can get one to you.
