URA members joined American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) union siblings on Saturday, June 14, to raise our voices together and educate others on how the federal cuts will impact our jobs. We stand with federal worker as they face more than 80,000 layoffs of those who serve and care for veterans across the country, including facilities such as Lyons, where approximately 500 gathered Saturday.
URA-AFT President Christine O’Connell said, “Regardless of your political affiliation, I hope we agree that those who served our country to protect democracy and our Constitution are owed a debt which at minimum is shown by continuing to care for their healthcare needs.”
