The URA bargaining team has accepted two meetings with management in April tentatively set for April 15 and 29 in New Brunswick. Last week, URA-AFT President Christine O’Connell and Director Greg Rusciano, spoke with Abdel Kanan to discuss scheduling and other preliminaries. Kanan is Vice President for Office of University Labor Relations.
“We expect to meet weekly with management’s team throughout May and June,” said Rusciano. “In the meantime, the URA team will continue preparing proposals based on your feedback from the bargaining survey, our recent grievance history and research into comparable contracts. We are in contact with other unions, who had similar iterations with management, to coordinate around common proposals and calls to action,” he said.
