URA members can self-initiate an in-grade salary adjustment through Article 61 in our contract.
Since SCP appraisals should have been completed by April 30, your evaluation is a good comparator to your CARF that could show that your role has expanded in scope, depth, impact, responsibility, or complexity that would warrant up to a 10% salary increase. However, Article 61– Self-Initiated In-Grade Salary Adjustment Pilot Program currently is a pilot program that expires on June 30, 2026.
In our first bargaining session, we proposed a side letter to continue the program. Management has not agreed at this time. If you are interested in helping your URA bargaining team improve this program and make it permanent, email us at union@ura-aft.org.
